May's Story

May is the founder of Bliss by May, a serene wellness studio dedicated to movement, mindfulness, and personal transformation. With a rich and diverse background spanning academia, the arts, and fitness, May brings a uniquely holistic approach to her work as an instructor and personal trainer.

Originally from Bangkok, Thailand, May began her career as a university lecturer, photographer, and TV scriptwriter before embarking on a life-changing journey to Melbourne in 2002. There, she earned her Master’s degree in Communication Studies from RMIT and decided to make Australia her permanent home.

Her deep curiosity and lifelong love for learning led her to explore the world of wellness, where she has since trained extensively in yoga, Pilates, and fitness. Her qualifications include:

  • 500 Hr Yoga Teacher Training

  • 75 Hr Yin Yoga Teacher Training

  • 30 Hr Advanced Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training

  • Pilates Mat Work & Reformer Instructor Training

  • Certificate III and IV in Fitness

  • Group Exercise Leader

  • Les Mills BODYBALANCE Instructor

  • BA in Journalism and Mass Communication

  • MA in Communication Studies

  • MA in Development Communication

At Bliss by May, she combines her technical expertise with a warm, intuitive style to create classes and 1-on-1 sessions that are supportive, empowering, and deeply restorative. May believes that movement should feel good, not forced, and she’s passionate about helping others reconnect with their bodies, find calm in their minds, and build sustainable strength from the inside out.
